Top honors go to our own Amy Lopez: Hello All,
It is my honor to recognize Amy Lopez for her outstanding
accomplishments yesterday at level 5 State. Amy took 1st on vault and
1st on bars. She placed 2nd on beam and 6th on floor and finished 2nd in
the AA with a 37.55. What is truly amazing was Amy's bar routine. It had
to have been the most perfect level 5 bar routine I have ever seen. The
judges thought so too and awarded her with a 9.925! Not only did this
set a record score for any event ever at a level 5 State meet (previous
score was 9.825) but from what I can tell from
www.mymeetscores.com which lists the top scores across the country,
her bar routine will be the highest scoring level 5 bar routine in the
country this year! Congratulations Amy, and to coaches Ashley and
Nichole for all of hard your work.
